The Kansas City Downtown Street Car Project ($85M) is the construction of approximately 2 miles (4 track miles round trip), with a northern and southern terminus. The streetcar will operate in mixed traffic both northbound and southbound on Main Street with nine stops, four single platforms, and seven paired platforms stops. The streetcar facilities will be constructed and operated within existing street right-of-way. This project has a DBE goal of 24%, a MBE goal of 10% and a WBE goal of 2% of which the goals are a direct flow-down for each subcontractor.
